WHAT ARE OUR LESSON PLANS?

Welcome to our one-stop-shop with innovative lesson plans based on children’s curiosity (they answer children’s REAL questions!). Our dreamteam of science/math and art experts ready to assist you is just one click away!

Each lesson plan contains materials (in electronic form) that can be displayed on a screen or by means of a projector (videos, pictures, presentations...) or printed out (worksheets, instructions …). These materials may easily be downloaded as a compressed file, so you don't actually need internet access in your classroom (however, if you do have internet access, you can display everything straight from the website).

Every lesson plan provides all the necessary background information for teachers, presented in an approachable way (in each lesson plan look for a button named MATERIALS FOR TEACHER). These materials have been researched and developed together with field experts, so don't worry if a given lesson plan is on a subject you don't consider yourself an expert on. Thanks to wonderful cooperation between scientists/professionals and WhyBlueSky? educationists, all the difficult math/science or art concepts and hands-on activities have literally been “explained to 6 year olds”. As a result, you can simply follow the lesson plan, relax and enjoy the excitement of teaching and learning.

HOW CAN YOU WORK WITH OUR LESSON PLANS?

You can:

1. FOLLOW the lesson plan from A to Z - this way you can be sure that your class is coherent and answers the title question (e.g., Why do I Have a Runny Nose?) in the allotted time. You also save time on preparation.

2. MODIFY the lesson plan according to your needs and ideas - you can use parts of the lesson plan and add your expertise and spirit to it. Don't forget to share with us what changes you found useful and how your lesson went!

3. Be INSPIRED by our lesson plans to create your own lessons based on children’s curiosity! Don’t forget to share them with us!

4. Create a PORTFOLIO of lesson plans that you find interesting - simply click the ADD TO MY LESSON PLANS button to make sure that your personalized curriculum is waiting for you each time you log in.

THE MAKING OF: STEP-BY-STEP

We develop our lesson plans in 3 simple steps:

1. We ask children what would they like to find out about the world and we collect CHILDREN'S REAL QUESTIONS (we already have a “laundry list” of Qs and we love it!)

2. We engage passionate science/math/arts experts to help us provide credible responses

3. We turn the responses into open source one-stop-shop lesson plans to make sure the knowledge is available in every classroom.
